So, since the creation of this thread have we gotten any real information save for the 2 new Neimod photos?

No.

It's pretty much been answering/asking basic questions. Which is really sad, considering all the answers are either in this thread or threads around it.

Can't it be a game I wouldn't mind modding the save file?
I don't want to buy 2 copies of Zelda XD
you dont have to...
if you are able to put the save exploit on the game card, you are also able to back it up.

so you can backup your original save. put the exploit on it and use it , and when you want to play your zelda game again, you restore your backup on the card

I hope Super Mario 3D Land is one of the 67 games, because it's the only 3DS game I own, lol.
i think you getting the info wrong. the 67 exploitable games are only exploitable when one specific exploit is lounched once.

edit: something whent wrong with editing

I thought the save exploit did not need extra hardware? only the game. Where did you get we need a R4i Save dongle? :(

According to the details in the thread, the unknown game needs to have the exploited save placed on to the card, the only way feasible way to do that without hardware mods is through a R4i save dongle

You can also do it on a DS (Lite) without hardware mods (you'll need to either cut off a small section of the 3DS game card or else take the game board out of the card and put it into a regular DS game card, but neither is much of a big deal, and the second should be easily reversible).

If the exploited game is cheap that could be a very good option, is the extra section on the 3DS card purely to block it from fitting in a DS?

Yes. (Understandably so I guess; prevents people thinking a 3DS game will work in a DS and getting confused when it does not).

At least it won't be on a game with a 512B save eeprom―those don't exist on CTR cartridges, thankfully―because the R4i Save Dongle doesn't seem to be able to write to those properly. I guess those 500 people who got R4i Save Dongles for free are loving that it's going to get 10x more useful to them. I know I am. ;)

Yeah, I can imagine people trying to play 3DS games in their DS's. The save dongles are quite expensive too so sawing of the edge of the card might be a viable option

I decided to grab the Save Dongle so I can prepare a gamecard with the exploit, depending what gamecard that is.
But I also wanted to get the Save Data off my copy of Black 2. My usual save-management homebrew which I run from Slot-2 on my DS Lite did not work.

Ah, how much did the save dongle cost you?
