It'd help if the forum had an auto-merge option.

Or, you know, the edit button?
Thank you this is what i want to talk about
Precisely, then all hell breaks loose and people start a bitch-fest...I mean again, about how piracy will kill sales, how Nintendo will fix the firmware exploits and causing the system to brick, etc. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. The important thing is, it doesn't matter how the 3DS was hacked (if true), so who f***ing cares?

Still if it would, we're not allowed to double post.
Since you have very little post count, you don't know much about the rules.
I've actually been active lurking around on this account since I first joined so I know the rules. I just figured the website was having errors with auto-merge. Back in my administration years each website already had auto-merge. Most invisionboard websites have it enabled.

Exactly, you cant argue if there is no info about it. this isnt "find-something-else-to-bitch-about" fest

Talk to p1ngpong. He'll have a nice chat with you :P

That's a statement, not a source.
Still haven't found the part where it says the 3DS reads game save data from the sd.
The cartridge doesn't read anything, the cartridge is a storage medium. It's the 3DS that does the reading, and if the game allows it, it very well may read from the SD slot while the game is executing from a cartridge - it's not limited from doing so. What kind of a point are you trying to make?

The bidirectional data buses connect two chips - the ROM chip and the savegame chip directly to the 3DS which reads from them. Point. The 3DS signals a data request to the memory controller which in turn gives it the address to data. Save-handling itself is managed by the program, not the cartridge. If the 3DS allows it, a program CAN read and write from the SD.

Just to be sure, atm it's not possible to edit e-shop save games right?

Because if this was found in an e-shop game, all they have to do is to take the game off as soon as a "loader" comes out, and just a few would use it.

It's not worth bickering over the lack of a post merge feature. Editing just makes less clutter.

It does not, unless the game is downloaded from e-shop.
The save game is a eeprom memory on the catridge.
thats great! im gonna start college for the same thing too soon. to be blunt, all i care about is this new information. personally, idgaf about AR right now or how 3ds reads carts because no one here is working on anything. did i hit the nail on the head yet?

That's interesting, but be aware, you need some money to buy the necessary development equipments.
You'll need $5000 for developing and debugging equipments for 3DS,
You'll need many hours debugging, and believe me, debugging is a pain in the arse.

And you'll need to do a partnership with a hardware manufacturer.
(It would be better to do this before starting the project,
if any manufacturer sees that it worths the investment,
it will want to fund your project, meaning less costs to you)
This is a long road, but you may achieve something great, and make lots of money
