Fun Fact: In DS mode, the black part of the screen (left and right edges) appears lit as well. Even if it wasn't, the light from the middle would reflect and stuff and it would still look like it's lit.

Try setting the brightness to 5 and tilting it in DS mode with a black top screen and you'll see that the entire screen is slightly lit. Still, the image looks like it's not just black but some other color (some sort of gray maybe), otherwise it would be darker. Anyway if crediar says it's real I suppose I'll trust him.

Spoiler: A Little Proof Up My Sleeve

Here's a pic I took for a ds game:

The pic is a gba game but it's the same.
You can see a little of the black edges in the corner where in that pic you can't see it at all. I'll try zooming into that to check.

Even if yellowstar was the main reason behind Sudokuhax and other DSiWare exploits, this picture proves absolutely nothing. There is no point in posting such picture and pretending to have hacked the console when even a 12 year old kid can reproduce this. So either you post some information along with it or gtfo.
