take it the aspect ratio is a bit messed up they look too tall XD

but kinda glad they dropped the crappy shark eating a sponge

ps i think the tab is still there if thats what you mean just a bit hidden in that pic
 
so now they copied the finding nemo shark...

Bought R4i 3ds card from www.r4ids.cn. Was working fine. Updated 3ds to the latest 7.1.0-16E. r4i 3ds card not working – throwing an error “An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Operations Manual for details”. Understood that I have to update using patch from the above mentioned site. Did try with different wood and patch available from http://r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm (WOOD R4 V1.64, The 3DS V6.2.0-12 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS, The new patch for 3DS V4.5.0-10 & DSi V1.45, etc); and also in varying combinations; with and without removing the flashcard for a brief couple of minutes (before pressing A) and with DSi and DSl (eligible versons) – but every time the outcome is ‘Fail’. Is my r4i card bricked? Is there a way to restore it? Please help.

Note: this is the first time I’m trying to update my r4i 3ds card. Was working fine before I updated my 3ds.

I was wondering if I leave internet access on will the 3ds automatically try to update my firmware without asking me to accept the update?
I just purchased a mint condition 3DS XL with 4.3.0-9u and MT-card along with a 32 GB micro sd card or the 3ds card and an 8gb one or the ds card.
Once I get my packages I will test them out and give my two cents on the MT-card.
 
I was wondering, are the MT Launcher.dat interchangeable with the Gateway? I tried loading a game but nothing shows up. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't all the Launcher.dat based off GW work? It should work with it.. right?

Which revision do you have? Which has been your previous firmware (3DS)? Which icon do you have in the 3DS' menu?
Your card isn't bricked as long as you can start it using a DS Lite

That's encouraging. Thanks so much for your reply Technicmaster0. Sorry, i do not understand the meaning of revision here. I think my 3ds was 2 something before updating to the latest or perhaps 4 something - couldnt remember (but i'm sure i did it in order to play super mario 3ds approx 2 yrs back). i attach a picture of icon i get on 3ds menu. hope u could help me to resolve my r4i.

Like that other guy said, as long as it can turn on, on a DS Lite you should be able to restore it.

I bricked mines somehow and it doesnt work on a Lite and gets the FAIL error every time.

Did you try to unbrick it using the DS Lite only updater with another flashcard?
