Atleast 2 times a week i have to do a ctr image transfer. Was playing it all day yesterday then came home from work and now this happens. Any reason why i have to keep doing this? Is it bricked or what is this man -_-
Failed to load ctr firm
ctr is corrupted
Always some variation which is causing me to constantly reset untill it works or do a ctr image transfer. I dont even connect to the internet on my 3ds cause it ussually gets corrupted by the end of the day guaranteed. Why is this happening?

if there exist corruption on/or within your sd card then its possible to corrupt a nand when flashing a ctr image . . . you should run H2testw (Windows) on your sd to look for errors before we proceed

@brandon2141, edit out your email address or else you'll get hit with lots of spam and harassment. Internet has lots of bad folks. To talk to someone privately, check the letter mail logo at the top right for private messaging (or PM for short).

Calling @echoman32 from the thread Can internal storage go bad?, who is recently experiencing ctrnand issue as well. Check post #5.

OK so the issue is indeed a hardware error. My sd reader is bad. Do i buy a new one OR is there a way to fix it?

Depends which 3DS model it is, if that model has a discrete SD reader part that's swappable, and how comfortable you are with DIY electronic repairs. Anytime you open up a delicate system like the 3DSes, there's a risk in damaging other components.

Most people elect to replace the faulty SD reader part instead of trying to salvage it. The most likely part to fail within the reader is those contact pins that push against the card's golden contact landings. They loss pressing tension and conductivity, and they're not easily reachable for cleaning and bending correction. It's better to replace the reader with a new one.

Check eBay, amazon, and aliexpress for parts.

Its the red new 3ds XL. They look extremely straight but after trying to clean or make it tighter it went from "cannont access sd card" to "insert sd card". God man.....now i gotta order this shit. 1 day before my bday too thats so stupid. -_- Alright thanks for link. Jesus...
