And that's the problem. I have the fixcrc.exe program and I know how to run it... Just once it gives me a value what do I do? Mine's A4A3 before even doing any editing.

First you edit your Mii(s), then save the file. Then use the saved file to get the new CRC and apply it at C81E, resave.

Exactly what I did. Then I edited config for extdata tool to put the CFL_DB.dat on and restored extdata. nothing changed. I have a 4.3 3DS.

I got it to work. I realized I'm an idiot - the config was wrong. I made a very nice video tutorial:

Anyone else notice that it is impossible to tag a special mii multiple times until after you actually go into streetpass plaza and check them? I've got 5 3ds with special miis in my house, and if they aren't checked, they stop tagging as if they had 10, but always just 4, one of each.

that's no surprise. legit gold Miis that're obtained are only ever gathered once per event, IIRC.

(This should be exactly the same as the ninjhax version, and any bugs found SHOULD not be caused by the recompile (a bug in the compiler is very rare, so don't come to me for bugs))

Can we edit the Mii names of our Main Mii? MrCheeze or only other ones

You can do anything with your main Mii except the gold pants. Gold pants don't work because they require sharing to be disabled, but main Miis require sharing to be enabled.

Im not sure how, but I managed to get my main mii golden with this tool fine.. Also no problem changing sharing/copying/nickname.. Did I do something different..?

Shrug. I know that it doesn't always work, because I made all my Miis golden and the main one changed back at some point. But it may be that only some things trigger it to change back.

There was a guy who made a .cia version of it, but I don't think he distributed it..

Attached the CFL_DB in this message. Zip was created on a Mac, so if you get a folder called MAC_OSX or a file called .DS_STORE just delete them..

It looks almost the same as mine, did you follow the tutorial others were using?
