So what i do is: 1. Replace Mii id with Huntereb's 2. Find checksum 3. replace old checksum at 0xc81e with new checksum 4. save and restore?

Strange, my Special Miis are editable and Streetpassable, though you can't get a QR code for them. To be clear, the only thing you need to edit besides the Mii ID is the disable sharing bit. Also, I don't recommend doing this with your primary Mii, since they're required to be sharable - mine just changed back out of his gold pants.

Oh, and it's probably identical to Rachel's, but here's my checksum fixing program as well. Source included. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/183608682/mii_checksum.zip

For 64 bit only systems?

oh yeah. one more thing. when editing the Mii ID, it's probably best to ONLY change the first digit from 9 to 1, and not mess with the rest. Just in case the rest gets used for something.

actually, two more things. this may be obvious, but it's possible to backup CFL_DB.dat and restore it later. so probably best to back it up before changing anything, despite the system having its own builtin backup.

Mind posting the data for one of yours that can be streetpassed/edited?

The two bolded digits are the only ones I manually edited (9 to 1, and 2 to 3). The rest was a preexisting Mii, that originally had sharing and copying enabled.

EDIT: The first bolded digit should always be 1. The second one should be one higher that it used to be (i.e. enable the least significant bit).

We're getting closer.

Didn't work on my end, deletes the Mii. Not sure exactly how it's determined, but I have a way of doing it so I'll stick to it. I'll follow this thread, kinda curious where the "Console ID" is stored that I seem to be writing over with all of my 0's. That's probably what determines which Miis can be used in Streetpass, whether you created it or not.

So ehm.. Now I'm at a loss, Is it possible to have your MAIN mii have a gold pants and thus have it in the streetpass games and show up at others's streetpass?

Ah, just editing those two bytes worked!
