Homebrew 3ds extdata dump and restore tool (extra data editing!)

The 3ds says in mii maker you can't disallow sharing for your main mii, you can however set copying to disabled..

Then make a different Mii special, or compare values by changing them in Mii Maker and figure out how they are stored. There aren't any positives to setting your main Mii gold, anyway.

Well gonna try it out now, but don't we need to fix the checksums?

Ok, thanks for your help. So we can just edit our ID's to match yours then use MrCheeze 's checksum tool to fix the CFL_DB.dat and finally import it using extData tool?

Yeah, but I would slightly change my ID just so it's unique.

By looking at: http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Mii_Maker and comparing mine and huntereb's mii I THINK i have made my main mii gold now, However I can't test it yet as I don't know how to apply the checksum

Oh it also fixes it? I thought it was only giving you the checksum and not applying it


WateredFire19: The first selection is the ID (Pretty sure about that) and the second selection determines if it's shareable or not (which is neccessary) (And I haven't confirmed this yet)

it's WAAAYYY down look at the left side until you see 000c810 and then go 6 double 00's right (offset left under in the bar should be 0xc81e

That's your old checksum which is invalid now just overwrite it..


Also I restored the CFL_DB.dat and it erased all my mii's.. so that didn't work, (Damn you hex editing)
