Here's hoping they will allow users to create and distribute their own apps *fingers crossed*. Then there wouldn't be any reason for them to complain about people using flashcarts for homebrew or whatever.

You will be able to make stuff on the 3DS.
How far it will go is yet to be seen, it is called petit computer which was alrdy available for the DSi.
That app will get an update for the 3DS as well and you will be able to do stuff if you know how to programm with BASIC.

programming with BASIC is not too hard but u gotta know the language which would take around a month for u to know quite a lot about it. iphone won due to app store and so will this.

well ipod's are owned by mac - and droid is owned by google but they still got the app

Microsoft only bought Skype today or yesterday though. They may be more restrictive on who gets a port of Skype now. The current ones will probably remain out there, but as for new devices I would be surprised if a non-Microsoft device got a (new) port of Skype now.

EDIT: And iPods are owned by Apple, not Mac. Mac is a computer made by Apple.

And Android is owned by Google, Droid is a phone made by Motorola (IIRC).
