Hardware 3DS Capture: katsukity or loopy?

I'm looking to get a 3DS capture device installed in my original 3DS (just bought a Zelda XL) to record footage and so far I know of two people who can install them, katsukity or loopy.

Does anyone know if there is any difference between them? any horror stories? anyone I should just avoid?

how did you go about getting the capture card from katsukity, what is the whole process like? do you just package your 3DS in the post office and send it over to Japan and get it back with the capture card installed in a week? also how much is shipping? I ask because i also plan to get a capture card.
