Homebrew 3DS boot9 strap

so im hacking my friends 3ds and every time i get into the boot9strap file it works fine and i can see no problems with it, i get thru the steps to the point were it asks me to press the home button and i do as directed and press the home button but instead of taking me into the luma loader it takes me back to the home menu, ive tried multiple different methods to get this to work but all have the same problem with luma not loading and taking me to a home screen. min 13:15 and yes im on the correct firearm

That being said, you might just need to reboot your system holding select to get to that menu. If it doesn’t work, you might have missed a step I would suggest following the official guide from about where you left off.
