Hacking 3DS and R4

Hi all,

Im a new member here.

I have an issue with my 3DS and the R4 card I'm using.

The issue is that i didn't get to use my 3DS for quite a while and when i turned it on it promoted me to update and usually i can choose not to update, but this time it forces me to.

So this is my current version of the 3DS

So after the update i went to click on the R4 card and this came up

This is the R4 card that I'm using

Im very new to the 3DS stuffs, so please advise and don't be harsh. Im a noob at this.

All comments and advises are much appreciated.

The site reported on the card www.r4isdxc.com is empty, so if you can't get an update for your R4, you're out of luck and need to buy a newer R4 which supports 6.1.

I had this problem with my 3DS you need to update your R4 card u have to use another 3DS or DS that is below that firmware to update the card there is no way around this.

so try and find another DS borrow a friends ds with old firmware and update it.

u could also try going to a gamestop and using the store demo models if there not updated other then that ur sol

Hi Demonchld,

How exactly do i update the R4 card?

I really really have no idea about that

And let's say if i were to buy a new 3DS XL, will this problem be there on the XL? Or i still have to update the R4 card in order to play in the XL as well?

As in one from r4ids.cn and not anything else.
or get a DSTWO that's even better.
Also no you can't even update the cart since the site that makes it is dead.
