Either of those firmware works. The translated version of Fire Emblem If is firmware spoofed, so you can play on firmware 9.5. CIA only cause brick if you install it on sysNAND with firmlaunch enabled CFW. It is safe to install to your emuNAND.

All of your hashes are the same as me, so I guess those are OK.

yeah, thanx for the tip, Rainthunder.
yeah, the untouched map version of FE IF SP ED needs FW 9.7 as the CTR Tiny Reader says, but when translated/patched with the english patcher it becomes firmware spoofed, yes it works on fw 9.5, but strangely enougth it works and loads fine in 9.4 fw?

maybe the patched spoofed it to work on lower fw or the GW launcher.dat that allows emunand 9.9?

but it works, so yeah great :)

Yeah... I was trying to change one of my emuNANDs from EUR to JPN region to be able to access the JPN eShop, but I guess since the necessary titles got removed from NUS that ain't going to happen unless someone share the needed CIA files (specified here for 4.5.0-10J) in a certain forum...

I've been trying to get a local copy of the CDN.
But, of course there are the missing titles, and I'm trying to complete it.
Here's a list of what is missing and how you can help: http://txti.es/savecdn
Right now only doing o3DS EUR, but will do the other regions too.

If you want I can pm you a link to an entire download of 9.5.0-23 U I uploaded for convenience.

I have a complete 9.2.0-20 copy. Got it from nus a couple of days before it was removed (lucky for me)

I can upload that as well if you need it

I already have that one. Coincidentially I still had it.
But before you all go flooding this thread with "I've got X", please check out the txti.

I have old and new J/E/U 9.0 / 9.2 / 9.5 as well as 6.x mset for all three if you need it

I've been trying to update my 8.1j system to 9.2j via the NTR method and it seems to be failing for this exact reason. If I can somehow get 9.2j from you is it still possible for me to update my sysnand?

Thanks.

Currently no but I am working on a solution

The important ones in my option I have. 6.x mset for rxtools. 9.2 for all n3ds and o3ds regions and 9.5 for all regions and 4.x via downgrade. You can always update emunand via a rom and then manually update the browser to -20 for example

Everything in the middle is not as necessary

Everything in the middle is not as necessary
It is if you have more than one 3DS (old and new, or different regions, etc...) and need to make up an NNID to download Ironfall. I'm good to go since I still had a 9.2 backup from before I ever downgraded to 4.x. But for others, there are things missing from the cart updates and not just the browser. ACT is missing (settings applet for NNID) and something else related too, since after installing that, I still had an error about a system update (while using the free spoofer). Installing my old 9.2 backup simply worked (again, using the eshop spoof).

Sure it isn't, but it's always good to keep that kind of stuff for historical purposes.
I'm sure there are people here who've downloaded 2.x just out of curiosity.

Also, please learn to read people:
You can send the files to [email protected].
PM is fine too, though. Just don't pollute the thread, please.

EDIT: Updated the site. Missing titles for all the regions of the old 3ds were added. Contributions are always welcome: http://txti.es/savecdn

Has anyone compiled a list of MD5 hashes for all the missing CIA for each region? It would also be useful if someone could create an SFV file for each regions 9.2.0-20 update so that people can check their folder is 100% accurate and complete, since now we cant get the updates directly from Nintendo.

Also, I managed to download some incomplete system updates a few days ago, despite the 3DNUS errors. However I have just downloaded exactly the same CIA using Ron's 3DNUS v1.10, and the hashes for the CIA I already have dont match the ones I downloaded a few days ago :wtf: I even double checked by downloading just the specific CIA with 3DNUS v1.9.
These three CIA in particular seem to be different to the same versions I downloaded from NUS just a few days ago:-

EUR
000400300000D602 - mint (eShop applet)
000400DB00016102 - NVer
0004013000008002 - NS system-module

USA

000400300000CE02 - mint (eShop applet)
000400DB00016302 - NVer
0004013000008002 - NS system-module

JPN
000400300000C602 - mint (eShop applet)
000400DB00016202 - NVer
0004013000008002 - NS system-module

The only theory I can come up with is that Nintendo has removed the old versions and replaced them with version spoofed copies!?
If this is correct then we can no longer rely on NUS to download accurate 1:1 copies of old firmwares downloaded now or in the future.

This could be very important to note for historical archival purposes, and we really need to try and recover what original NUS files we can and create our own repository with hash values - and we should do it for every firmware updateable system - DSi, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, etc.

<EDIT> Just checked the TWL_FIRM v1489 I downloaded a few months ago against the version currently downloadable from NUS, and the hashes also dont match. The DS Cart Whitelist v0 I downloaded at the same time still appears to match though...

wow that's fucking shady.

EDIT: What about the Wii? I don't think there's any point right now for it, but it would be better to know.
