So wait, are there any dangers to leaving wiiconnect 24 on? I want to play animal crossing and get letters and other stuff while i sleep.

holy sh#t im scared lol! good thing my wii is unplugged right now so there's no way i might accidentally hit update haha.

someone tell us if they added usb 2.0 support! try to play a big file in geexbox from a usb device. if it really removes the hbc and other channels (possibly pirated games? custom channels?) then try to see if the hbc beta 9 installer is still successful..

I remember someone said that big'N' won't have another update within 3 months. Now it proves he is wrong! It's less than one month.

I updated my legit Wii. My Homebrew Channel is still on my Wii and the wads I had on it. Then again I have done every recent update. The 23rd and the one that comes with Animal Crossing. So maybe if you haven't updated in a while, and do it. It will kill all your stuff/

Nintendo is r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-retarded. They release a firmware upgrade with no real functionality added at all and they expect us to upgrade? lool.
that may be true but there will be always the few idiots who update and then no more homebrew.

So true, I did the "Oct23rd" without even cheking on the web what was that about...!!

Actually, this update was more or less planned, but it seems nintendo needed just a bit more time with testing, which is why they didn't push out 3.4 and IOS 30/31/37 sooner. the fact that they did an update less than a month ago, did not mean they were not going to update for at least 3 months.

Meh, Team Twiizers will find a workaround or another exploit and all this will be fixed, they always do.

Just be patient. Hell another version of PatchMii that installs the update but not the fixes for the bugs might even be made.

either way, i'm not sure I would use an app that depends on ios254 since I'm pretty sure Nintendo has no intention of actually using it for any game. I don't think they would release a wii bricking ios but you never know.

it serves no point anyways, since without a hacked or buggy ios, you can't install any ios254 on a fixed 3.3v2 (or 3.4) wii, and with a hacked ios, you can do anything. it would have made more sense if they pushed out a new ios16 instead of an ios254.

I see wiibrew has already added a precuation against it, as has one blog: http://wii.wowgoldit.com/2008/11/17/ninten...ves-save-files/

Wow, Nintendo is retarded. They keep checking for the Twilight Hack, but who the hell keeps that shit on their Wii after the HBC is installed?

off topic: this thread has more or less the same amount of readers than the loader0.1beta

On topic: better not to update never again, 3.2 has pretty much everything you need

According to wiibrew, the twilight hack will no longer work, the system menu was updated to use ios50, and custom channels will probably be deleted. Brilliant.
