It means Improved: Greater security against unauthorized code. Good news! that means no virus's can be installed on your wii allowing it to run malicious code such as backed up games or useful utilities!

as far as i can remember all the update messages say that... just nin10doh jargon for "making sure our system functions and yours doesnt" lol
 
Nintendo is r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-retarded. They release a firmware upgrade with no real functionality added at all and they expect us to upgrade? lool.

this update is basically big n's way to combat the growing homebrew and soft mod scenes. it adds nothing of value to your system and you are not missing out on anything

that may be true but there will be always the few idiots who update and then no more homebrew.
