Gaming 2DS XL power button causing sleep mode

I recently had my 2ds xl set up with NTR boot, and the power button is causing the console to enter sleep mode while i'm playing games, if I accidentally press it. Does anyone have a way to disable that or some type of work around

First, this is the original Nintendo DS section. Second, how do you accidentally hit the power button? It's not even close to any other buttons.

Its a new 2DS, with the circle pad pro and the power button on the bottom, near the lights. My pinky is a little messed up and it curls under the console, and sometimes hits the button

Oh okay, but I've never heard of the power button causing sleep mode, I only know it opening the "Use Sleep Mode" power down menu, but that's worse.
