Hacking 2DS r4i.cn gold revolution advice

Hi, sorry I'm still a noob here and after some advice.

So I've just purchased a 2DS, and ideally I'm wanting to play 3DS roms and dsi roms. Therefore advice in this forum has already advised me to get a ds flash card for the dsi roms and instal CFW for 3DS roms.

Therefore I've now ordered this card:

And I've ordered a 32gb san disk micro sdhc card from Amazon.

So firstly can I please ask in anticipation for the cards arrival exactly how I set it up? Do I need to update the firmware on the card? And what files do I need on the sd card? Plus where should I download all the files?

Finally can I then ask for a guide on how to install the CFW and which would everyone advise I install?

You need the Wood Kernel files that are for your card. Pretty sure they are linked right there on that site you ordered from.
Edit: Oh looks like they give you a broken link. Just visit the r4ids.cn website for them.


For CFW on 3DS. Follow this: https://3ds.guide/

You must be on 11.3 or lower to get CFW.

Yes. v1.64 is the latest kernel for the card.

To use the card, download that kernel and place the contents on the root of the microSD card. After that, you can put ROMs wherever on the card.
