Hacking 2DS not recognized by win32diskimager

Hello there

I bought a used 2DS from ebay hoping it might have a older firmware installed
sadly it was 11.0.03E

so I tried using this tutorial here to do a Dump and then later downgrade it

here some infos
-2ds boots normally when franken DS is not inside of card reader
-2ds shows 00F800FE 00000000 00000000 00000200 00000000 when plugged in sd card reader (reader not connected to pc)

but im not able to choose a device in win32diskimager

You need to use an external sd card reader. Then plug the sd in, and turn on the 2ds. After the 2ds shows the blue screen, plug the reader into your computer. It should read it. Make sure to do your research to see which readers work with your NAND.

I tried 4 differnt sd card readers with your described method all were external but none of them made my computer accept the 2ds as device with a letter.

The internal sd card reader of my laptop at least made me choose the device in win32diskimager but reading is not possible win32diskimager just crashes.

Could it really be the sd card adapter ? I already ordered one of the rwcommended adapters on amazon but i just want to exclude all other possibilities which may cause the nand dump not working.

Soldering looks pretty bad, far left side is possibly bridged or at least making a friction contact.

I also have made hardmod to my 2DS. I get a stable 400 error every time I plug the SD adapter into my recomended by the guide transcend card reader. There is no way to get a device letter into windows or linux. System boots perfectly, when the SD adapter is connected system always gets a 400 error screen in the bootrom. Still no chance. I have been advised to do it with 7 wires, but that is overkill for me.

It's soldered into the SD slot. Should I check an alt gnd?

I have three readers, but the good one is the transcend TS-RDP8K recommended by the hardmod guide.

2ds's are known to be picky with sd readers.

As I may like to have that one, I had trouble to find one to shipping it to spain.

So I got the anker sd card reader and I get:

BOOTROM 8046
ERRCODE: 00F800FE
00000000 00000000
00000400 00000000

On my 2ds, but nothing shows up on windows or linux. Or when something shows, it does not work in win32diskimager.
So, idk what might be wrong.

I did it myself. Also checked about 30 times if something is bridged. System boots perfectly with the adapter out, thought.

That does seem odd. See if you sautered them in the wrong locations. Maybe one of them is in the wrong location. If not, pm vb_encryption_vb, and see if he can help you.
