Homebrew 2DS in 9.2

Hi. i have a N3DS 9.9 ironhax.

Today i'm going to sell my N3DS and buy a 2DS ( in 8.X or 9.2 ), can i install ironhax and CW ? Tubehax, ironhax, browserhax has patched no ?

Browserhax is only patched on 9.9-10.3 (or lower, if for some silly reason you install the new browser on an old firmware that can install CIAs), and ironhax is only patched on what, version 1.2 or something, but the problem is, if you re-download it from the eShop now, it would be a patched version and thus useless. If you have no other options, you only need Browserhax to work once with your 2DS to install menuhax/themehax.

You'll still need an entrypoint to boot menuhax2.0 so you can have coldboot.

That's what Browserhax is for; it still works below 9.9. It may be annoying to use/unstable on some units, but it only needs to work once for menuhax to be installed.

Don't you need an N3DS for Browserhax , it never worked for me on 9.2 (same for emuNAND 10.3 of course.)

As far as I know, it's just really, really unstable on o3DS. The N3DS version is pretty much flawless. :s

Chances are, that's never going to happen. Your best chance for kernel is by doing what the OP is doing and get a 2014 2DS.

The Mario Kart 7 bundled 2DS comes with 6.0U here in the U.S. at Walmart, just bought one last month. Sadly, I had no tools to upgrade to 9.0-9.2 with. Still have one 2Ds on 9.2 though.

Wrong. Yls8 already has a new kernel exploit >9.2. It's just not released, but should come soon. He'll use ist for his cfw. Thanks @Tcm0 for the information.

That's nice that he has one, but we'll never see it unless it's leaked or independently recreated elsewhere by a group/individual that isn't belonging to #3dsdev. Afaik, he's the last one to disclose kernel exploits (i.e. once they're public/leaked, he'll usually put up info about it on the 3dbrew wiki).
