@Columbo2811 and @lemanuel are you really telling him to screw over the shop he bought it from? He screwed up the mod and now they have to bite the bullet for it? That eats from the store's profits and if they knew that HE was the one who broke it, they would certainly not accept it.

No way man, the moral thing to do is buy a new one. The less moral thing (that isn't as much of fraud as breaking it and returning it) would be to try to update it to the latest firmware to see if that fixes the issue. Then maybe return it that way so at least the next person to get it isn't completely fucked over.

I was telling him what options he has. If it's immoral or not, it's not my business. That's up to him.
It's obvious that it's immoral but it's an option nevertheless and aside from buying a new one, it's the only option if he doesn't want to do a hardmod.

I also don't believe it's possible to update the console in that state so there's that as well.

Yeah, I guess advocating return fraud is being nice from some points of view. I wouldn't say the store would consider it nice.

At any rate I am genuinely glad that it didn't have to come to that and I'm very happy that you were able to fix the problem. Seriously! So the problem is completely fixed? Did you do a hardmod yourself or were you able to get somebody to do it on such short notice?

The store would just return it as a faulty model, so no profits lost.
Plus if it was a big chain (which is most likely) then who cares, its not even going to put a dent in their profits.

Most stores just send it back to the supplier and are refunded. The supplier would probably reflash it and either sell as refurbished or new. The loss is on Nintendo.

Morals are you serious this is a flashcart and custom firmware section, pretty much everyone on this site is pirating games and screwing over Nintendo and not buying games from shops so they don't make as much money too. You were joking right!
