Bought a Hori Wii arcade pad too.
Works great with Glovepie and mame :3

Marvel VS Capcom, SF3, Garuu mark of the wolves, Waku Waku 7, Rage of Dragons, Street fighter Alpha 3, all ones I'd love to play. I dont thin the Neo Geo ones would be there ;-;, but eh, Alpha 3 was my thing back in the first year of the 00s when it was released for Dreamcast.

For those who want to play game like TMNT (4P), X-Men (6P), Aero Fighters 2 (4P), or even 2P games that 2DF just doesn't support, they will need to use mameppk. It has a Kaillera option for it for online play. And another cool thing is that Kaillera supports 4 player mame games (while 2DF can only support 2 player). For a guide on how to set that up, click here.

1. Unzip the emulator into a folder. Don't unzip the MAME game.

2. Put games in roms folder inside the mameppk folder BEFORE opening the program.

3. Once you have opened the program, press F5 and it will automatically search for mame games on your computer.

4. Before you go off to play online, highlight Available. You should see games with little green chips besides them. Keep this highlighted because it is important.

5. Go to file, then click on Kaillera Netplay, not start server.

6. Enter you desired user name (GBAtemp user name so we can recognize you). Then click enter IP and paste: 69.114.136.202:27888 then press connect.

7. Now you can either make a room or join one. You can only join or make a room with the games that are on the highlighted Available list. If that list is not highlight, then it will say you do not have the ROM.

It'd be better to use my dedicated server instead of Anti3D as it should give a better connection. It's under Kaillera as "GameDragon GBATemp server."

EDIT: Anti3D is offline anyway.

i got a problem with 2dfighter, i have the mame games in a file, and i've set the rom path correctly. but it comes up with the error that says it can't find the mame game file :/

for some reason I can't host games and I added the port in the firewall exceptions list but still doesn't work.

I'm kinda worn out of all the fighters lately, but if someone decides to do some good ol' 4P Beat em up ass kickin in something like X-Men or Turtles or whatever I'm up for that.
*Okay I'll do some SF2 and maybe some MVC. But that's it.

So it looks like 2DF is going up and down. Maybe it's a weekend net traffic thing. Not to worry, we can still use mameppk and Kaillera. Here's how to set it up

For those that want to play 3 or 4 player games outside of 2DF, the server is still up. Though, it would be best to use the emulator linked below rather than the one in Sonicslasher's guide, as that was the cause of all our problems.
