It's just gone 4am over here so no. *goes to bed*.

I may have a look tomorrow but I've never had a great interest in the winter olympics, and I believe the same applies to most Brits.

If you haven't heard, Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died just hours before the open ceremony, practicing on the slopes.
He failed to make a sharp corner, and crashed into a concrete beam at 90 MPH, at what appears to be head first.

I'm not really one for Olympics myself, but that's some very devastating news...

I'm from Vancouver, and I'm at home. I wanted to go downtown today to see all the Olympic hype, but didn't get a chance, I'll probs do that pretty soon.

Anyways, did anyone catch Nelly Furtado and Bryan Adams lipsyncing? Adams' mic was at his side when his vocal track started. hehe

...

Go USA?

...Anyone?

Anyway, the opening ceremony was pretty neat, I guess. But only because I really didn't have any clue as to what I was supposed to be looking at. Red guys on skis, going down and up the mountain, while red-glowing ice skaters circle around an electric-pulsating ground. Holy friggin' crap.

And best of all, not one of the projectors that I saw had the Blue Screen of Death!

Nice opening scene, will probably be the only thing I'm going to watch of this Olympics. I honestly don't care about any sport out there, maybe a bit of hockey because it seems like a cool and rough sport, but nothing else.
Same with Summer Olympics, only thing I watch there is soccer and sometimes a sprinting competition.

The opening ceremony was good. Not amazing when compared to Beijing but not bad.

I don't really care for the Olympics/Winter Olympics but I care a bit more for this one since it's in Canada. I'm too lazy to go to Vancouver to see it even if it is in my home country. I'll just watch it at home in 1080p on a 42" LCD!

The US and Canada have a lot of people. Over 200! Go Canada!

Go USA. It's funny, some of the Chicago Blackhawks (hockey team) are playing for Canada. Not that I'm a huge fan of hockey, but it is quite funny to be rooting against a guy on your home team. Other than that, I don't particularly root for the USA as much as I watch it for the fun of it, cuz it's really cool to see the world unite if just for sports. It's even cool to be on a forum where there are people from all over the world rooting for different countries because they actually live there.
