PS2 Version is one of the best games I've played I remember bein well into it, quite a big game too with cameo appearances from loads of cool characters from other Square games (and a few Disney films).
I respect Takahashi Meijin!

on a related note:
the kyoto based developer for this game are working on a fingerprint id-based control system for a new game they're developing. wonder if it'll be on the DS...
the aim is for people with disabilities (ie unable to use a normal controller and play games) to be able to enjoy games too. nice thought.

pity this game is disney/square made produced. 2 of my big hates. and i work with square/enix too

This game rocks, sure it's in japanese but so far your only missing out on the story line (let's face it GBA games suck in the story department)
I'm going to have to respectively disagree with you there Luse. Ever play Golden Sun 1 or 2? Both those games had great stories. So that is proof that GBA games can have good stories. You don't need lots of processing power to be able to write compelling stories. Just need talented people working on that part of the game.

Heh, people are so fickle about wanting releases..I can't believe anyone has the time to play through all the good stuff that's been released recently.

Thank goodness this is out, if only so that 'Where is _____????' can change.

I personally can't wait until December (when this comes out in (U)), but until then I've got a lot of titles keeping me busy.

OMG it is out. I am the biggest Kingdom Hearts fan in the world i was pretty disappointed to hear that Kingdom Hearts 2 will be released in 2004 not 2005. I can`t wait to get this game and i am actually getting this for my GBA. This and FF 1 & 2 are on my list.

For future reference:

(U) release date is 12/4
(E) release date is "March 2005"
(according to GameFAQs release listings)

Make what you will of that. So, less than a month for the english version.
OMFG!!!!! You telling me I won't be able to play it in Spanish til march 2005???!!! That's 4 months!! I can't wait that long, I think I'll learn japanese before that (or just play the (U) version)

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
