I recommend a CR-5400 from DealExtreme, and two 8GB MicroSD cards if you want a 16GB Pro Duo. Much cheaper, and the speed is plenty good enough from my experiences so far. I got all of that combined for just under $40. MicroSD prices seem to have gone up slightly on Newegg since I ordered, though.

Note I didn't say get the CARDS from DX, I said the CR-5400. They can't fake that. My MicroSDs come from Newegg, and that's one of the few places I would trust to get the actual memory from.

That being said, the CR-5400 can be obtained cheaply on Amazon as well, if you're not inclined to go through DX.

In retrospect, reading my post might give the impression that I got my MicroSDs from DX, if not parsed very carefully. Darn it, ambiguous English language! I should have probably clarified both sources in the first sentence, as opposed to waiting until the end to state that MicroSD prices at Newegg had gone up a notch since I ordered.

Oh well.

eventually will pick up a 16GB one when the price comes down a bit more
I have a 4GB sandisk now, cant hold many big games though...

I would also recommend the photofast CR 5400. I have it with 2, 4gb microSD's and it was really cheap. It is a bit slower than my old 1GB produo but that's about all.

CR 5400 seems like a good idea but how slow is it?

I think it's got less to do with the adapter and more with the cards you use.

I'm still waiting for my replacement to arrive (my original one doesn't work in my PSP. works just fine in my PC tho)

the writing speed on my CR 5400 is about 3/4 MB per second. with a kingston 4 gb and a crappy brandless 1 gb microsd works fine no lag in games.
