I'm really new to the 3ds hacking scene and I would like to know if I am able to use a 64 or 128 gigabyte micro sd even if it is sdxc?
You will need to format the SD card to Fat32 using a PC would be easiest. I got a 128gb card for my one 3ds and a 64gb for my other i got.I'm really new to the 3ds hacking scene and I would like to know if I am able to use a 64 or 128 gigabyte micro sd even if it is sdxc?
doesn't make a difference if old or new 3ds. they officially support only up to 32GB but you can format a higher card to fat32 and usually works finewhat program need for format? and old3ds support 128GB?
the cluster size is supposed to be 32k as far as i remember the 64k also works but for all games like gba etc 32k is the best optionFormat it to FAT32 w/ 64k, mine's on that and runs smooth, only problem is I need more 3DS games

Use an external app to format it to FAT32 and use 32k cluster size but, 128GB cards work flawlessly (In my case N3DS).
The only thing that I have noticed with my 128GB Samsung is that it takes a couple seconds longer to get everything loaded after powering up the device.
