Homebrew 11.6.0-39 Update is it safe?

Hi im on firmware 11.2.0-35u. I have boot9strap and luma 3ds and i want the latest firmware to play online. Im just wondering if it is as simple as to press update in the 3ds settings or is there something else i need to do as well.(Im also having an error to update my Luma 3ds) Thank you .

Yes it is safe you will not loose your cfw.Yes it as simple to update your 3ds.You just need to update.I'm not sure but I think you need to be on sysnand, not emunand.It could cause a brick (maybe).

it is safe to update though i suggest making a nand backup in godmode9 just incase you want to downgrade back to 11.2
