hey guys, new here.

just bought a nintendo 2ds (not the XL version), it has firmware 11.4.0 - 37U
I'm kinda a newbie in all this, I managed to softhack my Wii console. but this is a new level... of what I understood from a few threads a couple of months ago - there isn't any softhack for 11.4... is it true?

short answer no but if you buy a compatable flashcard (10-20 usd) then you can here is the guide you will need (it has links to ndscard gbatemps sponsor-shop so you can buy one)

Heck, im willing to pay that price... so I just pop it in and good to go or there's an installation of homebrew involved?

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
