[Edit - solved!] Updated my payload, that seems to have done the trick!

Homebrew launches just fine through Freakyhax, but every app I try to open freezes the same way-- black screen on top, green screen on bottom. I downloaded all the correct files, and placed them in their proper positions, my otherapp.bin is named properly, so I'm not sure why nothing seems to be working. Is there something I've missed?

freakyhax is fine for 11.4. The question is, are you using a new 3ds or a old 3ds. As well as are you using just homebrew loader for it?

New 3DS, and yes, just the homebrew loader.

Alright, with this there was a recent payload update released for the 11.4 version. Try to redownload that and it should correct why you are getting the green screen

All right, I'll give that a try. One moment.

...well, then. I could have sworn I'd updated my payload very recently. Not recently enough it seems. Thank you so much for your help, and your time!
