The issue isn't hoping that there will be one, it's when people believe that it exists when it doesn't and start spreading false information. Also, this community is different from iOS, Apple knows their security shit much better than Nintendo. We can throw out exploits and expect to have 2 weeks minimum before they try to patch out an exploit. It has taken them several months in the past to fully kill downgrading, and with our current advancements, we don't need to worry about real brick chances during those months (assuming we do something similar to hardmodding/dsiware). Apple on the other hand will kill an exploit within a couple weeks of public release. They have enough security layers where they can just target one exploit in the chain and it is done (unless hackers are sitting on a few spare exploits to replace that hole).

afaik nedwill has no plans to adhere to the c3 timeline, he just wants to release everything at once after nintendo has patched all forms of downgrading.

if you have an arm9 exlpoit, keep it until downgrading is fully patched. We want to make this exploits last as long as possible, so once EOL comes, we'll still have exploits
