Hacking 1.08 Cheats (updates)

ok. I have 'usrcheat.dat' in '_system_' folder.
Cheats for Mario Kart, EBA and CoS works perfectly. BUT. If i add new game to the cheatlist and some codes in 'usrcheat.dat' Cheat(y) button just dont appear when i select this game.
EX:
Game name: Puzzle Quest
game ID: AQWP d4301ec9
Cheat name: Max Cash
Cheat data: 021EF8AC 0001869F

What is wrong?

Oh, thx. But JUS still dont work. I use ID frome gamefaqs boards- 65E1 00000889. is it wrong? And where can i look IDs?

I lost the damned disc and can't install the the AR, Datel is only willing to send me a new disc if i pay £7 for it.

Hiya mate, I started working on the tut yesterday when it was first released... screengrabs and everything

I just didn't wanna put it online yesterday cos a) i was getting drunk and b) still needed debugging the program until I made that discovery. Haha.

I'll put it online later, but atm i'm on a laptop, which isn't great for photoshop editing!

Ok, I can confirm this:

THE CHEAT EDITOR WORKS!

I tried using some AR codes on YGO world champ 2007
And managed to "unlock all disks and clothing"

These are custom codes not found on codejunkies

Basically... the cheat editor can't edit the pre-defined cheats in the game list in cheat.dat

You can only add cheats using usrcheat.dat which is located in _system_ (same folder as cheat.dat)

Game who's mastercodes are different than

C0000000 023DF000
F20081CC E12FFF1E

will not currently work with the cheat editor.

At least the editor lets you add future game cheats


I will be posting a detailed step by step instruction list tomorrow

-Is the urcheat dat file the save file? Do i need to convert to a 512kb save file if i am using it for my R4?

-For example, will the codes in pokemon diamond japan version XML file workable for the eng version?

no, the .dat file is not a save file, and no codes from a japanese game will not work on a usa game.

Ok nevermind my other question found the drivers (the drivers in the download packed didn't work, but got the driver only from somebody and it works now

Hello Everyone,

I just have a problem when I apply cheat mode on Need for Speed Carbon - Own The City (U) (No trim). The game freeze when loading. I wonder is anyone have the same problem?? Thank you

PS. I also tried out on E version (No trim). Again, with the same reult...

I forget to added that this game is also in the compatibility list.
