w00t! knil (Yeah, that's me... third-person =P) got it to work. Empty CHEAT.dat as suggested, and I imported the Codejunkies .xml into usrcheat.dat, then edited to my heart's content. All works nicely now. Thanks Knab.

The .xml download page gave me the option to either open or save. Yay Firefox.

how do you empty out the default codelist in the cheats.dat?



either just make a plane txt file, or do what i did and use a hexeditor to empty it

in the game code editor, what do i put at the game name and game id?

if you just download the xml files you dont have to mess with that.

i dont know what the game id is so i couldnt tell you, maybe you can get shadow boy to help you with that if hes around still.

i just wanna ask something when it comes to separate xml files how would you be able to add the new codes you want to the codelist xml file you provided, can i just import more xml files to the new codelist or would i have a problems when it comes to custom codes?

so for example, i have downloaded your usa codelist and i'm happy with it, pokemon diamond usa version codes are released, they are a xml file but i already have a usa codelist but the game is not included, how would i add it? would i have to remove the usa codelist to get the pokemon diamond codes to work with the usercheat.dat overwriting the previous codelist?

Download the Updated codelist XML with Diamond included and replace the old one with it.

i had an issue with this, it will find the first entry of the codes not the second so if you have 2 seperate pokemon diamond entrys with codes in them, it will not find the later ones it seems, thats why knilsilooc could not find his user made codes.

you will have to delete the game entry and re import the game intry with the updated codes, or just manualy add them to the old list

nope, you can copy and paste you own codelist from codejunkies website, but be warned if they release like 1000's of codes you will be there a long time as you can only enter one code at a time lol i was like that with animal crossing yesterday (5000+ codes) as i couldn't find any xml files for the game

Euhrm, since the non default .dat files aren't encrypted, you can open those in the program, then import the xml file so it will add your US pokémon cheats and save the .dat again, then the new .dat will have both cheats and you replace the previous .dat on your MicroSD...

Nope, cause you can build those xml's yourself too if you have the codes.
I believe the game id's are those btw:

Pokemon Diamond (M)
ADAJ DA4869F7

Pokemon Pearl (M)
APAJ D245F56D

so `ADAJ DA4869F7` or `APAJ D245F56D`
 
Alternativly you can also go to the Cheat option in the code editor, click create new game then click new cheat, and in there just paste the AR cheat, then click new cheat again and paste the new cheat ETC.

I downloaded Codejunkies US Games.xml from http://www.divshare.com/download/400109-f66 and imported into the Cheat Code Editor then Save cheat database. But it is not working, need help

pretty much yeah from what it looks like unless theres a app to combine xml, which there mite i dont know.

no clue man i didnt make those xml, shadow boy says there are updated pokemon codes in the xml that i linked to i think

whats the problem?

For example:

There are no Animal Crossing codes in CHEAT.DAT whilst there are plenty in usrcheat.dat(created from Codejunkies US Games.xml) but when tested on R4 cheat icon would not show when I select Animal Crossing in game browser.

whats the problem?

ah, only problem with that is i can't add the EU and USA games all at once, i have to keep changing the usercheat.dat if i want to play a EU DS game, is there a way to put each codelist in a folder like EU GAMES & USA GAMES so when i open the cheat editor they will have thier own section?
