w00t! knil (Yeah, that's me... third-person =P) got it to work. Empty CHEAT.dat as suggested, and I imported the Codejunkies .xml into usrcheat.dat, then edited to my heart's content. All works nicely now. Thanks Knab.
The .xml download page gave me the option to either open or save. Yay Firefox.
how do you empty out the default codelist in the cheats.dat?
either just make a plane txt file, or do what i did and use a hexeditor to empty it
