    Sounds like you need a new installer or get her to read the guide fully. Bottom line, there's no way to know until qualified eyes inspect the inside of the system. This ping-pong-guessing-game-thing going on here is getting pretty ridiculous...

    Then it appears there haven't been any issues w\ 100\100\47 UNLESS you happen to be using a Pico (MAYBE a tiny), and even then it's still just a chance. Definitely sticking with the 100\100\47 configuration. I'd love to hear @rehius' opinion though.

    If you insert the cable AS you're putting the MB down in the case (move screen\fan\controller ribbons out of the way) you can avoid the fan removal. Just 'another way'.

    I find flexes go on easier if you solder after it's laid down. So, no, I did not add solder to clk and then solder the flex to it (I don't think I did at least). The more I think about it though, I actually MAY have JUST for clk, due to it's 'scratch the surface' nature, I might have added...

    After this Instinct experience (it came back to me because clk disconnected from the flex) I'm never using ANY flex\adaptor again. This Instinct's APU-flex was replaced by a single irh8342 on the back, using a 0201 33k resistor across S and G.

    For all the 'PFly is bad, gave black screen, HWFly fixed it' posts, I just had the opposite happen.     From what I understand, having a resistor that crosses the Source and Gate of a mosfet protects whatever you connect gate to. Basically, if something goes wrong, the resistor will drain the mosfets energy before it can possibly fry the APU. @abal1000x knows the specifics, am I correct?
