I am play through Golden Sun again to get ready for Dark Dawn. I was figuring out some enemies weaknesses and using that against them.
Then i Cleave the earth Djinn. I did the attack and it killed the enemy monster and i noticed that the monster screamed twice while dying and flashed a rainbow of colors before disappearing.

So my questions
-Why?
-does the get me more exp, money, increase item drops...etc?

No, You dont have to kill it. You have to leave it with less that 25% of the HP and then throw a pokeball

When a monster dies like that you have found its weakness, its exp doesnt increase, however its drop rate increases by alot, this is usually utilized to get some of the rarest items. Theres a guide for this on GameFaqs (Dont you dare go trolling on me!), ill post the link
