    Starting React Native development makes me realize really how great Flutter is, React Native's code is all a mess with Node.js with unneccesarily complicated methodologies. Documentation is harder to find as well, whatever is available is trying to look like Greek.

    Let's not even mention reusing parent into child components if you're using Angular1 as you're forced to create a NGModule and encapsulate all of them there, Even Angular2 has a hacky way of overriding a component to be treated as standalone NGModule.

    It's not total crap, but it's a giant backend + frontend hack stitched together want-to-be framework. It's almost as it tries to replace HTML5 DOM + ECMA5+ implementation which sucks.

    I fully agree from what I've experienced so far, I haven't even scratched the surface but what you're saying I have noticed already.

    Bit the bullet and went with the latest Windows 11 insider preview build, it's heaven. Can't wait till preview gets file explorer tabs, looks sweet.

    Looks like I'm a proper full stack developer now. I'm working on a mobile app for a client and have managed to get images hosted, cache working, fluid transitions, database management, and a real time chat feature! :D

    Ah, so it seems. StackOverflow (the site) is a really good cesspool of info, but posting Qs & As there is a pain. I left over a dispute on the amount of swearing in Arqade (which I had posted about but now can't find). It seems benign now, but I'm sure if I had stayed, there would be other issues, considering the way it was handled.

    Waiting for a new Windows 11 update is painful, there's so many new things they have in store but everything is on the Insider builds.

    Dolby really needs to let go a little of their properties, the thing where Dolby Vision is only allowed on certified devices is just stupid, people use PCs with their TVs as well. I am also reminded of Amazon Prime's no 4K playback on PC as well...

    There is %LOCALAPPDATA%.

    There's a really easy explaination for why Local and Roaming exist:
    As their names suggest, Local is intended to be machine-bound (like for example individual settings or logs that are only relevant on that particular computer), while Roaming is intended to be transferrable between computers, using the same user account, like game saves for example.

    fyi: you can type "set" without quotes into cmd, and you can see a few variables like this, except for a few special ones, like %ERRORLEVEL%.

    Just found out what went on with the quota, my ISP is conceivably doing something illegal here. The data hoarder seems to be Netflix, while I checked just an HD 5.1 movie, it consumed 2.4GB in just half an hour. That is nowhere near what it should be, all sources say an hour of HD content should be up to 3GB. This must be done deliberately, as my ISP just so happens to have an attractive unlimited Netflix add-on...

    Sweden actually has the cheapest food of any country (relative to their income)
    Housing isn't bad either, and the internet is fast and cheap.
    Everything costs more in Norway.
