So I have a 3DS LL (JPN) with Luma CFW installed, and a 2DS LL without CFW. I've been playing the Japanese version of AC:NL on the 3DS console, but have recently got AC:NL Welcome Amiibo (US) which I plan on playing on the 2DS LL console. First of all, will I be able to play Welome Amiibo without CFW on the 2DS LL? Are the game carts region free? If not, I would install CFW on the 2DS LL as well in order to make it region free if I understand right.
Then, would it be possible to transfer data between AC:NL Japan version to AC:NL Welcome Amiibo US version as usual? I just basically want to drop of some items from my Japanese copy to my US Welcome Amiibo copy of New Leaf. I hope this makes sense.
What should I do in order to make thos work? I have been out of the CFW scene for awhile, so what version of Luma and othe software do I need to install on my 2DS LL?
