This mod allows you to play your Nintendo DS on the TV through the headphone jack!
This mod utilized the discovery made by the Group “Lost Nintendo History”.
That discovery uncovered a secret feature in the DS hardware which, when enabled, allows you to output composite video to an external monitor.

Lost Nintendo History made a specialized Prototype PCB to exploit this feature of the DS, but it was large and resided outside the console,
which was fine as a proof of concept

The company Rhotronix iterated and improved on the Lost Nintendo History design to make the PCB more compact
as well as utilize the headphone jack as the conduit for video output.

Saw the original post. Glad some are trying to spin it up into a commercial effort.

Only skimmed the video but did I miss a projected price range (saw "some time in September" in the conclusion as a date but little else)?

I own the previous external board of rhotronix and the DS-TV-OUT feature is certainly cool, but very limited, especially the hardcoded Nintendo-designed overlay of one screen into the other.

Just north of $70 you say. Bit steep perhaps but at the same time that did look like a double sided board and volumes are probably going to be rather on the low side.
