Another casualty of recent times, it seems now multiple sites are reporting that Sony is going to announce in September that the next Horizon game is to be delayed to Q1 2022.

I think at this point it would actually be more surprising if any big games manage to release on time.

I'm fine with that delay, for a better game experience. But I would really appreciate a PS5 patch for Zero dawn ! PC has 60hz.
Still waiting for a PS5 patch to play the first game...

It'll probably never happen, the devs are evading the questions on purpose. either they don't care, either they are working on a PS5 native version and want to make the surprise to release both at the same time ?
Why wouldn't they just say "we will never do it, stop asking" ? they really like getting spammed on their twitter !

I hope it comes eventually. Some people think it's because they are going to release it in some sort of remastered deluxe version. It would be the same situation as Spider-Man then.

Better delay a game than pulling a cyberpunk. I ever wonder is that game even playable now? I bought it for my Xbox One S but I never opened it.

It's quite playable... on PS5/Xsx (Where its 4k 60fps). I still see minor graphical glitches, but to be fair there sure is alot going on in that game, maybe they went overboard. Nothing game breaking that i have noticed. When they release their PS5 native upgrade I expect pedestrian population will go up, kind of a ghost town in some areas.

Whoooo, nice surprise today !
Horizon Zero dawn just updated quickly when I powered my PS5. I found this in the changelog (too bad they removed that feature on PS5 games, I like reading changelogs of PS4 games):

when running on a PS5 console in backwards compatibility mode:
- Unlock framerate to 60 frames per second
- Fixed streaming performance issues
- removed Graphic mode from the visual settings (strange, probably not needed anymore)

Amazing! I'm gonna restart my play through soon as I never did get to finish it.

I never played it past the intro until she's adult, my PS4 was overheating and the fan too noisy. I decided to wait until I get a PS5 to play it, and then I waited for that patch.
I'll probably finally be playing it next, after completing the game I'm currently playing. Just enough time before Horizon 2 :) (Feb 18th 2022)
