Try to hold the Power Button for 10 sec +, then tap the Power Button once.

If you have AutoRCM activated, your Console will always boot into RCM.
Your Console probably crashed beforehand.
That is did not work and activating recovery mode withou RCM involves press both volume buttons and power together

If you are talking about maintenance mode, then you have to press and hold + and - when powering on the unit, don't think it will go into maintenance mode on autorcm.

You can hold the Button Combo when the Atmosphere Logo dissappears (before the Switch Logo).

(1. Sept Background, 2. Atmosphere Background, 3. Atmosphere Logo, 4.Press Power and + and - )

Well is there any way to delete switch updates since I cant go into recovery mode

You can use JKSV for this Task.

If you hold the button combo to enter maintenance mode while the system is booting from fusee (not when initially turning on the console into rcm) then itll work.

That quite interesting, since JKSV is just a save manager.
Sort of, but also not really. That's its main function, but it has a lot of extra stuff I added cause of my own curiosity way back in the beginning. I kept getting told that certain things weren't important or too dangerous by other people before I even started developing it. Device saves and BCAT are a good example of that. They weren't important at all.
