Ohhh... back in days i remember that issue was common. Totally forgot about it.

On one board data lines are 0.4v on other 0.7v diode reading,
with (-) probe on the data pin and (+) on ground, but i think it's revision difference.
Checked all caps on the board, no shorts.

Sounds like shorted MAX chip burning out enable signal or something similar...
Question is... why console booted in RCM with dead chip and now 0 life...

At least it makes two of us having the same issue, and i replaced the ram.
As i have 2 boards and those are old projects, what if i'll inject 0.9v on the max output?

Thank you for help!

hi, I tested on a no-pacthed (hac-10) functional:
I remove the max77621 and the switch is detected in rcm and accepts the payload!
Switch can boot in hekaté without max 77621 under SOC!!
errors will arrive later, no boot hos, memloader = error during izma decompression ....
same error as: https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-wont-boot-but-can-enter-rcm.552909/

you don't need to put 0.9V because the max77621 is not useful for rcm boot.

I also have a motherbard with 3.3V 1.1V 1.8V ok, usb data line to 0.4V in diode mode, not short all good but no rcm no startup..
on it I will try to change the soc to one that works to see if it works, when I have time to prepare well, maybe soc is dead.

Few years ago i had switch where all power circuit was working perfectly fine, but switch wont turn, stuck at 5v 0.46a
So turned out it had bent LCD pins which were shorting LCD circuit, after LCD connector replacement board started to work.
I had it once and before mentioned issue showed up.
But in our case switches showed image on the screen before MAX replacement.

Maybe it is not a solution for your problem, but I had a board yesterday with 0,4 V in diode mode but only on one dataline. It was the ESD component for the USB data lines.

Thank you for suggestion but In my case data lines readings are fine and second switch doesn't even have filter on data lines...

Checked both consoles under Thermal camera, only BQ area is heating up.
With time CPU slowly heating, but those temps are normal.
BQ temp is the same as in normal console when it's charging.

just to find out, what is your thermal camera? , I want to buy one but I don't know what to take

Few months ago I spent 100$ to get Broken Flir One Pro for repair, it wasn't turning on.

Later i found an information that Flir had faulty batch where over time from CPU heating pads were lifting due to board wrapping, so it was no-fix. But interesting fact is that thermal camera used there an actual module with 160x120 resolution that worth like 200$ itself. So, i got myself chinese board for 30$ that converts module in to the usb thermal camera and using it like that.

Currently working on STM32 build that will convert this module in to the battery powered camera.
