Hi,
I've been pretty sloppy with my Switch and I'm wondering if your forum can help. I am someone who used SXOS and Atmosphere for many years. Back in December, I updated my firmware to 11.0.1 before realizing SXOS was not compatible with it. My Switch was caught in an endless SXOS black screen. I left it this way for many months.
Yesterday I read about downgrading to solve the issue. I managed to get an updated atmosphere to load via an RCM Loader and I used Daybreak to downgrade to 11.0.0. This has worked in some capacity; atmosphere loads via the RCM Loader. When it did, my files were apparently corrupted. Couldn't even load anything (minus daybreak, actually) via the homebrew menu. Then I downgraded to 9.1.0 (my firmware before the 11.0.1 update) and this didn't resolve the issue. So I go back to Daybreak, update to 11.0.0 and reinitialize the console. My entire SD is backed up. Unfortunately to say, my Switch was hacked long before I did any Emunand backup. I used CFW very early on, before Emunand was a thing on switch, so I never did it.
Here's the status on my console; I can boot into atmosphere easy. Since reinitializing it's clean from what I know. SXOS is a different case. It is in a different kind of endless bootloop; SX OS loads up, I see the Nintendo and Switch Logo... but then it goes back to the SXOS Logo, Nintendo and Switch, etc. Over and over. I have not yet wiped the SD card. I've already sort of seen this Switch as a lost cause, but I think it's salvageable. I was definitely an idiot. I should have waited till the Switch had as comprehensive a guide as the 3DS guide before hacking it at the start. I mainly use the device as as retroarch machine - but retroarch crashes from my homebrew menu. I can't install a retroarch NSP either, given that was what I used SXOS for.
Any recommendations on how to proceed? Thank you in advance, and I will provide all info I can.
