Hello,

I have a switch on 11.0.0.
I have always read about emunand but have never really done anything about it.
Could someone please explain to me what i need to do to have emunand working.
I understand i go into sxos menu and select create emunand.
I was told to make it files on sd card.
Once its done i understand i can log into emunand or sysnand.
Am i correct to say i can update emunand to the latest say 12.0.0 but system nand needs to stay at say 11.0.0 to have sxos working is this correct?
I understand once emunand is created i should make a back up of the files on the sd card called emutendo or something like it.

Thank you

Well you can but its not really recommended especially because the latest firmware has an update for the cartridge slot so its going to cause some issues for any firmware below 12.

No. This is the opposite of correct. If you update your emunand to 12.0.0, it will no longer work because SX OS only supports up to 11.0.0 . You can technically update sysnand to 12.0.0 and your emunand will still work, but you will have to use a different bootloader to get into sysnand as the SX bootloader will not work to boot anything higher than 11.0.0 (or you can "genuine boot" if you don't care about burning fuses).

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
