Arrived this morning ordered 28th Dec and shipped 9th Jan! Have another outstanding order from 1st Jan , but had the email offering to refund last week. As someone else said will let the order stand as they are cheap and cant hurt to have a spare ( eventually ). I have also ordered another from Gameeyee (?) on Wednesday and thats already on its way!

The only reason i didnt go to Gameyeeah is because I got a better deal from DX. If i was to buy from Gameyeeah, I would be getting a DSTT with a 1gb micro sd for $47 + shipping. With DX im getting a DSTT with a 2gb micro sd for $46 + free shipping. So I don't really mind waiting much.

at least read the other posts...

They are out of stock for DSTT with a 2gb micro sd

Thats what my post is about.

i asked for a refund instead, and now i am looking to buy somewhere else because DX Said they were in stock, but clearly they are not.

really unhappy with their service.

the hunt for a decent deal continues as my new ds lite sits helpless all alone.

I smell a rat!

I'm starting to wonder if the DSTT (TTDS) is a loss leader for DealExtreme. Perhaps, when we do not order anything much more than this item (to expedite the order) and there's not enough profit it it, they just don't follow through.

Their canceling an order (if that's the case) is a clear sign of an order that should not have been accepted in the first place.

Some items(or sets) ARE marked out-of stock. What's for sure is this: Is it CORRUPT to still have the DSTT still for sale on their site NOW (with sneaky disclaimer below) and NOT marked out-of-stock; while I am clearly being told the are "temporarily unavailable".

Their excuse now, is "quality control" or "short supply".

I realize this item is in great demand (DS lite sales are up) but these policies broken, delay or not.

I'm concerned that with this great great demand, it might be a case of floating the collected monies, making interest off it; before it is SLOWLY returned, and not honoring their sale.

Why can't they match supplier items with demand? Is their supplier corrupt? Is their no communication?

I am now told that will update me every three days.

They keep saying I can cancel. I keep saying that I do not want to cancel at this time. I would like them to hurry.

I am NOT being fully informed.

I ordered in the first few days of January.

Did anyone who ordered this year get anything? A DSTT/Reader only?

What exactly is your experience?

Just to clarify,

The DealExtreme site does NOT say (then or now) the DSTT (by it's self) is out of stock (like other items that are marked out of stock).

They are telling me now, the DSTT (by it's self) is "temporarily unavailable". Do you see my point?

They also said the problem was with combined orders. I ordered it alone; not combined.

Their feedback system (still) says that I need to contact them. I have. It doesn't make any difference. Don't waste your time.

It is incompetence with high demand (or any demand). Not demand itself, that is the problem.

Ever try to buy a Wii?

Or a "Tickle Me Elmo" in 1996?

Or a Cabbage Patch Doll in 1984?

I dunno, maybe you're too young to remember those events or to understand the significance of me bringing them up now. Anybody else get where I'm going with this? It's not the retailer's fault if the manufacturer can't meet the demand.

But at the same time, it is the retailer's fault for not taking these issues into consideration before taking pre-orders for the product. Just because the manufacturer couldn't keep it's end of the bargain, doesn't mean the retailer has every right to take our money and then tell us to wait.

How can they know ahead of time how popular a product will be or whether or not a manufacturer can keep up with the demand? Either way, nothing's stopping you from canceling that order and purchasing the item from some other place.
