Please put this in the correct topic if it is in the wrong place.

First of all, I hacked my Switch shortly after getting it and haven't looked back. Enjoyed every minute of it. Until now.. I upgraded from firmware version 9.1.0 (or 9.2.0, I can't remember exactly) to 10.1.0 firmware (used ChoiDujourNX). That was a huge mistake. I had absolutely NO trouble with 9.X.X firmwares. My Switch would no longer read my cartridges. I then did research on this problem, and it seems you have to add "nogc = 0" in the INI files. So I basically couldn't play with my Switch for a while, so I put it aside until higher firmware comes out so I can do the nogc = 0 thing.

So a day or two ago, I decided to check up on it again. I read as much as I could, downloaded a brand new package from "sdsetup", and the latest 11.0.1 firmware. Tried flashing the new firmware (with the "nogc = 0" everywhere I could find it) with ChoiDujourNX again... it failed.. I always select the FAT32 + exFAT in the app, but it just didn't work. I decided to give daybreak a try. It worked, and now I'm on the latest FW.

So my problems are, my card reader will still only read cartridges about 90% of the time (much better than when I was on 10.1.0, but still not acceptable). I am also unable to get Goldleaf to work AT ALL. No matter what I do, I get a blank screen and must press the button to return to the main screen. I depend on Goldleaf to allow me to install game updates. I can't even play some of my games because even though I have the update NSPs, I can't install them.

What do you think might be happening to my Switch? If I wasn't clear enough, I will provide as much more information as I can. I must get it working again.

Get the "Goldleaf 0.9 dev" version. Works good on 11.0.1.

unsure if its the switch fw or atmosphere but something on the usb side of things changed and code of homebrew apps need to be changed to be able to use usb again. i dont use goldleaf but maybe it does some usb checks before actually starting which will then crash or freeze the homebrew. there are different installers out there like awoo, tinfoil, lithium, tinwoo and the dev version of goldleaf 0.9. try those and tell us if installing games work again.

from what ive read in your post you think you need to wait for a new update to "patch nogc"?
you can add that yourself to the ini files. if you are using hekate you can even toggle the nogc option from its options.

i suggest you should use an aio package like deepsea or any other package you desire just to check if a premade configuration works for you.
its a quick way to test without fiddeling around alot.

Thank you so much. Goldleaf is working perfectly! BOTW has been updated to 1.6.0 finally! I'm not trying to complain, but I hope the dev releases an 'official' version of Goldleaf that works with 11.0.1 soon.

Sorry if I caused any confusion, but I did make 100% sure I placed "nogc = 0" in every single file it could possibly belong in. I actually put that string in the hekate.ini file and the BCT.ini file (I don't know if you're suppose to do both though).

I just need to figure out what's wrong with my card reader. It wouldn't read "Immortals: Fenyx Rising" just a few hours ago (not the only game it has decided to not read before.

Just download atmosphere, hekate and signpatches.
Replace all your files and check you have everything in the right place.

Try doing a fresh installation of Atmosphere to resolve your issue.
