I agree, I have to use a hotspot on my pc and it never works.I would like this, because I can only use no security with wep on my phone via a hotspot, since neither my phone nor my router can do wep. there's a way to hide the ssid and even encrypt if with my phone's settings. however, I don't like the idea of no security. I recently changed my 2.4GHz band on my router to automatic for wpa 1 and 2, so my psp can connect as can everything else that uses 2.4GHz. my 5GHz band is using wpa 2 only.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
that's thanks to @Hayato213 , who gave me the idea of doing it to one band, since I have a dual-band router. I have my wii u directly using wpa2 while my psp is using wpa1, but both work in unison via automatic.
Yeah, there is still an issue with wario ware DIY where when you export projects from the makermatic, it doesnt show up in the DIY shop.Theoretically it's possible with nds-bootstrap, but that probably wouldn't be attempted to be implemented until after compatibility is more or less complete, from what I've heard
Well all the DS Pokemon games work fine, so I couldn't imagine it would be very difficult for @Robz8 to implement, if he wanted to. Or even on-the-fly patching might be a possibility.Theoretically it's possible with nds-bootstrap, but that probably wouldn't be attempted to be implemented until after compatibility is more or less complete, from what I've heard
I use my linux pc, and theres no security, I have no clue how tf it creates the connection since there is no cable plugged into the mains in order to send it down the phone line and no sim card slot so idk how it does it.you may have to use no security. I think my old phone could do wep with a hotspot, but the new one is wpa2 or nothing. it's a 5G phone too, so it's like 240p with tvs I guess where newer phones won't work with something that old.
Correct, pokemon B/W 2 and possible more pokemon games are DSi enhanced so they can utilize DSi fetures like WPA internet capability.Well all the DS Pokemon games work fine, so I couldn't imagine it would be very difficult for @Robz8 to implement, if he wanted to. I litterly said im using a linux laptop with no simcard slot at all to make the hotspot.until recently, I didn't know you could use wifi with a hotspot. my old phone would just use data, but my new phone has an option to use wifi as well. I don't know if that will have any effect on using wep when my router can't use it.
you're probably using data without wifi if it's an old phone.
Yes, I have tried it and it does connect for a bit, then it gives error code 52100.I'm pretty sure you can create a hotspot without a sim card, it just won't use data. I've made one with my laptop in the past.
I still have an old Nintendo Wifi usb stick, and I wish I could have bought more than two of them... They were great at getting my Linux machines online. There was even a custom driver made for windows XP that allowed it to work as a regular usb stick for Wi-Fi.I litterly said im using a linux laptop with no simcard slot at all to make the hotspot.
Yes, this would take a long time to implement, i belive it should first come in a patcher for the flash card users, then implemented into NDS-BOOTSTRAP.I mean it's possible. Would anyone take their time to implement it, test it, and release it? No way. Some DSi enhanced games can use WPA and whatnot, like Pokemon white, but for early DS games, like MKDS it's either open Wi-Fi, WEP or nothing. Personally I don't find myself using the MAC-blocking feature as I doubt someone's looking for open-hotspots in my location, and if they are I can choose to delete them.
I do not sadly, im just stuck continuously getting error 52100.I still have an old Nintendo Wifi usb stick, and I wish I could have bought more than two of them...
