You disregard everything I have ever asked in regard to the Community Updates, and you now expect me to help you with a console- specific issue against the very license I wrote?

Maybe you should take your own advice about naivety. ;)

Should honestly go without saying at this point but I'm done here. What needed to be said was stated, and anything more will only result in more problems for all involved.

You aren't going to be successful in your attempts to stop ports like this from happening with the way you are going about it. You've just come off an an arrogant a-hole and it's going to reflect negatively on the rest of your 'team'. You also have spelling errors in your 'license' and there are also other ports to other consoles such at this xbox one below:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/am2r-xbox-one-port.579942/

I'll be forwarding a link to your project to Nintendo's legal ninja address: noa @ noalegal.nintendo.com

Okay now even I must say that sending this to NOA legal ninjas is probably not the best idea. :\

UPD: Also just in case, I did not made this port, it seems that t3 is responsible for it.

Yeah I agree with nkra, not the smartests of choices.
Despite the differences, we still want the same thing, keeping AM2R alive from the tyrannical pieces of shit Nintendo are, even if the differences come from where we want to play it.

NEVER side with Nintendo just for a fan's flare conflict.

Nintendo already views these forums don't really have to email them, its meant to have the same validity as a threat as him enforcing his license to a project that uses Nin's IP.

Classy.

This source code in no way infringes upon Nintendo IP. If you had actually read through the repository you would be aware of this...

Nothing screams "I'm the arrogant a-hole" like threatening to submit a fan-project to Ninty in an attempt to get it C&D'd.

You don't care for this project or any ports of it at all.

Nothing screams "blind white knight" more than jumping into a conversation and taking a sentence out of context. No one cares about the enforcement of a license to a fork (Logical/AM2R-c-u) of a reconstruction project (YellowAfterlife/AM2Rrc) that was based on someone else's work (Milton/Original AM2R) which was C&D'd by Nintendo.

The point seems to have been lost in previous pages, an open forum wasn't the appropriate place to discuss license issues. Especially when they don't apply to all countries. The discussion and grudges should have ended there.

It was pointless for someone to come here and threaten someone by saying "You are now knowingly violating repository license by porting..." and then expecting a forum moderator to step in and enforce DMCA. Threatening to email Nintendo was a joke based on him saying he was looking for a "method of contacting forum mods about license enforcement."

You don't seem to care enough about context at all.

"oh man, I hope there are lots of fans of this re made gameboy game!"
*proceeds to see fans of a fangame porting it....being fans?*
"Look at my license for my FAN game that was C&D'd by Nintendo themselves! You can't do that! SEEEEEEE?!" *continues to work on game "privately"*
"Oh I don't like that opinion! GO NINTENDO NINJAS, GET EM!"

Oh GBAtemp, never change lol

just put the nsp on JiTS lol . *rolleyes*
IIRC we hadnt put am2r up because the nsp we had of it used a titleid that risked conflicting with an actual title in the future. If theres another nsp or someone wants to make a new one I can get it uploaded.

Looks like AM2R is available on JITS, seems like it's the 1.5 version, didnt know it got ported and Idk who did it

I guess he did a good job hiding himself, but I thought porting 1.5 would be impossible, I wonder how he did that

Its the same one from here, maybe the version number got thrown off somehow. I can double check on that.

The copy the dev gave me says 1.5.2 rather than 1.4.3. Im not sure if this is a mistake or if he managed to get 1.5.2 working, but it wasnt changed on our (jits') end.
That's because the 1.5.2 source code for AM2R is open source now.
That's how people can port it over.

https://github.com/Lojemiru/AM2R-Community-Updates

Doing the NSP wouldn't be that out of reach for someone who knows how to compile Switch homebrew.
Which I could tho, stupid 32bit machine screws me over from doing anything homebrew related for the last 4 console gens.

Alright then I guess that if 1.5.2 is open source then the nsp could be legit
The icon changed and it was like a complete different game, I still had the 1.4.3 release installed so it wasn't just an update of the already released AM2R nsp, idk if it means anything or not (and also the message with the controller changed iirc, asking people to keep the port a secret).
I also don't know what's new in 1.5.2 so I didn't checked for the new stuff to see if it was legit

The original nsp here was under a different titleid that was registered as a dlc for a real game. We specifically asked for the titleid to be changed to reflect that it was homebrew for adding it, which is why it now appears as a different game from the old version.

Speaking of the new AM2R 1.5.2 port, I'm currently playing through it and have hit a bit of a snag. I'm in the fourth area, The Tower, and am stuck at The Tester boss. Upon entering the room the music cuts out and instead loops one of the boss' sound effects repeatedly. The battle proceeds normally otherwise but it randomly crashes with the following error:

Error Code: 2-KATZE-000

#######################

ERROR in

action number 1

of Other Event: User Defined 1

The seemingly random nature of the crash makes it presently impossible to get past the boss. Everything else works fine, except for a minor sound glitch when somersaulting into/out of lava. I'm currently running OFW 10.2.0 / Atmosphere 0.15.0 if that makes any difference.

Another on that. Finding it occurs when you slay a cannon. Been trying to finish boss without unfortunately getting that bad shot in... getting close, swearing more and more each time.
Hopefully will be fine if we can get passed that hiccup.
