Does there exist memory cards for the GC that allow one to use save files from something like GameFAQs? I've seen ones with SD card support for homebrew, but not for storing save files.

Hello.:)

You can use it on an unmodded GameCube with an SD Gecko and the GameCube Action Replay Disc to start some Homebrew (I think SWISS should be able to handle this) and use GCMM.
With a modded/chipped GameCube you can directly boot SWISS and start GCMM.
Or maybe a little easier with a Wii with GameCube Memory Card Ports.

Good luck
Thank you.:)

Hiya just wanted to ask, I wanna get a GameCube card memory adapter to load saves to my GameCube games, I was wondering do I need any special software like putting in a special chip into my GameCube for it to work, or can I just put the saves on my SD to go in the adapter and do a copy and paste through sd card menu on GameCube?

SD Media Launcher is an option, if you don't want to modify the GameCube.

What I mentioned before is a software issue. Nintendo's file manager in the system menu won't read SD cards.
