Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass reveal gives us a launch date for The Crown Tundra DLC

1VXmIph.png

The Pokemon Company has given us new footage for the latest additions slated to be added to Pokemon Sword and Shield's The Crown Tundra DLC pack. In this new area, you'll get to explore a snowy part of Galar, which contains many legendary Pokemon, in fact, every old legendary is available to catch. You'll find them in Dynamax Adventures. You can team up with up to 4 players to explore caves with lots of rare Pokemon.

There's also a new Galarian Star Tournament, where you'll take on the best trainers in pairs, through double battles with a partner.

The Crown Tundra launches October 22nd, while a physical pack in edition containing the game plus the DLC on cart will launch on November 6th.

Passwords will be revealed on the Pokemon site to give you special Pikachu, like ones with Ash's hat. Enter PIKACHUGET to get a free Pikachu in Sword and Shield.

Pokemon Home is getting a new update to allow you to move Meltan to Sword and Shield, as well as other creatures caught in Pokemon Go. This update will go live before the end of the year, and players will get a Gigantamax Melmetal.

Niantic abuses the use of certain error messages to find out if you even have the Magisk directories or files at all, and arbitrarily blocks you; yes, even if you have those files on an external SD card. It's scummy as shit, and I'm just as pissed that Google nor Apple have done anything about it.

Then again, I'm salty as fuck that I can't load Go anymore on any rooted phone, but my idiot brother on his iPhone can spoof locations and do all the stuff that Niantic accuses rooters of doing without having to jailbreak his apple unit. I don't even do or touch any of that; I root specifically so I can system-wide ad-block in a way that stock Android won't let me do.
More like, "Because, f*ck Niantic", amirite?

Also the video linked in your sig is now unavailable.

I wonder what the video was about...Sony's disastrous PS3 reveal? Their censorship policies? Them abandoning the Vita, leaving it out to die? PS Plus?
It *was* a rip on the rather brazen way that Sony marketed around the time of the big identity account leak.

A bit like this piece of satire.

So let's break this down...
$60 per version of the base game
$60 for one year of premium pokemon home access to migrate allowed critters in
$30 per version, per expansion. There are now two known expansions.

I was wrong, when I said Game Freak learned nothing about how to build a better game from outside companies. The problem is, they learned too much from the likes of Activision, EA and Ubisoft. This is some serious bullshit when the game itself doesn't even have the production quality to match its earlier handheld efforts at $30 a piece, much less the $60 asking price. And you know they're too arrogant to ever consider a GOTY edition that includes all the known DLC.

oh yeah, you have to magisk hide+hide app+rename folders. magisk hide generates a new app id and name, and as long as you rename the other junk and select pokemon go to hide within the app, it can't be detected. all nintendo stuff doesn't like these folders, including twrp and that other one folders, but usually renaming doesn't break anything

For the past 10 years, I wondered: Why does Nintendo/Gamefreak have to add new pokemons on each new game/generation? I would rather enjoy a new game featuring new region and story, but only include first 151 pokemons.

Would you guys enjoy a new pokemon title only including first 151 pokemons or up to Gen2 251 pokemons? Srsly back then you felt like boss knowing all 151 pokemons, now we have 800+, most of the new ones ugly and/or useless.

Personally, I'd like 493 or 649, since those two are my favourite Generations, and they allow for far more varied team setups than just 151 or 251.

For example, Ghost and Dragon didn't really get at least six fully-evolved members until Gen III, meaning any specialists of those types were forced to use other types - i.e. Agatha had no choice but to be a second Poison-specialist, whilst Lance used non-Dragon draconic Pokémon (there's a distinct difference there).

If you allow for Gens III, IV and V, though, this issue is rectified - EXCEPT that FRLG barely had any Hoenn Pokémon in it at all, leaving Agatha and Lance sorely stranded, and the old woman's next appearance, Let's Go!, ONLY had 151 Pokémon (and Alolan formes), meaning she's never had the chance to be a true Ghost-specialist, unlike Shauntal and Morty. Lance, on the other hand, at least used solely-Dragons in the PWT.

So no, I would not want just strictly 151 or 251 Pokémon - far too limited, and it's one major reason why Let's Go! was utterly abysmal garbage. 493 or 649, though, would be ideal (and if Mega Evolutions were tossed in, to give Beedrill and Charizard and others a welcome boost, that'd also be greatly appreciated).

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Not to mention that Gens IV and V added some nice dual-typings, like Dark/Fighting, Dark/Dragon, Dark/Steel, Grass/Steel, Grass/Ground, Dragon/Ground (used to be exceptional coverage, before Fairy/Flying Togekiss), Poison/Dark, Poison/Fighting, Fighting/Steel, Electric/Fire, Electric/Ice, Ghost/Dragon, Steel/Dragon, Fire/Steel, Psychic/Fire, Ground/Dark, Water/Ghost, Bug/Electric, Ghost/Fire, and more.

Not gonna get those with just 151 or 251.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Though I wouldn't mind some pruning; the Nidoqueen line, Gardevoir, the Buneary duo, Froslass, Wormadam, Combee and Vespiquen, Salazzle, the Happiny line, Kangaskhan, the Smoochum duo, Miltank, the Petilil and Vullaby duos, the Flabebe, Bounsweet and Hatenna lines, and the Milcery duo, for example. I wouldn't mind at all if they vanished.

First 151 pokemons were only an idea. Gen IV is also my favourite one, its just like: Do we need new pokemons on each new game?

No, not really, especially since the pool of new Pokémon has been shrinking for years.
For the first five Generations, we got at minimum 100 new species (151, 100, 135, 107, 156). Gen VI dropped below 100 for the first time with only 72, and Gen VII increased that slightly to 86 (with Ultra Sun/Moon's additions). With the addition of Calyrex and the two new Regis, Gen VIII has brought only 89.

Honestly, I'd have been just fine with sticking with 649 (minus the ones I listed previously), though some of the newer ones have been appreciated - Greninja, Gen VI Talonflame, Diggersby, pre-Gen VIII Aegislash, Malamar, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Sylveon, Hawlucha, Goodra (who should really be Dragon/Poison, but whatevs), Klefki, Trevenant, Incineroar (who should be at least as fast as Torracat), Vikavolt (who should be much faster too), Lycanroc trio, Bewear, Palossand, Komala, Silvally, Mimikyu, Dhelmise, Drampa, Kommo-O, Marshadow, Kartana, Naganadel, and Blacephalon.

Still, if none of those guys had been invented, would I care? Probably not, no.

new pokemons give the games alot of press and hype and people want to try them, sure they dont need to add over 100 new ones like they did on black and white and many gens, that is why we have so many now.

but for intance you got black and white which sold like 16 million and black/white 2 which is same pokemons but diferent story and it sold about 8, so yeah if everything people needed was just a new story then white/black 2 would have sold about the same and not half.
