Hi. You solve overheating effectively by just opeing it up, all the way down to the fan and cooling fins, then dusting out and cleaning thorougly. With regards to the APU, you clean off the old thermal compound and apply fresh.
Any of the other systems are prone to exactly the same overheating issues if not cleaned out and replacing thermal paste. Worse so on the PRO, because excess heat bypass by the harddrive, cooking it by up to 70*C, thus drasticly reducing its lifespan.
So just go grab some thermal paste and a #8 security torx and a philips head screwdriver, and search youtube on "ps4 teardown reassembly"
