The keys issue was solved a long time ago. The real reason games don't work on lower firmware versions is because they are compiled with SDKs on higher firmware versions.

Gotcha but at this point Nintendo shouldn't even worry about that considering that all their firmware gets cracked anyway.

What many people don't realize is that firmware updates can change a lot of things under the hood but not in the form of features. Nintendo doesn't always just release stability updates when a new firmware comes out. Sometimes they add new functions games can utilize which naturally increases the game's firmware requirement.

Not to mention that only unpatched consoles can run anything regardless of firmware. Patched consoles and potentially Mariko/Lite units require a few more hoops.

I did the 10.0.2 update for my buddy yesterday it seemed pretty nice seeing all the bells and whistles but I noticed each time when people try to upgrade via Choi they may encounter a problem.

I'm kinda scared to screw up honestly lol

Because many people update either preemptively or by accident which causes issues as not everything is updated to support the latest firmware version immediately. My personal rule of thumb is to stay on the latest version of the previous major firmware which in this case is 9.2. I only update once a game/update absolutely requires a higher firmware or a major new firmware version is released.

I'm still on 9.1.0 I'm actually surprised that all the games still are working without prompting me to update it's only a matter of time when they start asking for new updates. I know some DLC started to do that.

Haven't seen anyone make a post about this yet so I figured why not spread the good word. The leak was of the .XCI file. It goes without saying that no links or whatever are not allowed here even via PM. If you need a hint, the game was originally uploaded via torrent. And if you're paranoid aliens will kidnap you after installing the game, here is a SHA256: B53185CDB8CED6AF829FAB073C343BC99D220CDAE8BFA40E56A703677E3E1BBC
mh... my SHA256 is
DDE7AE56B9594D707DE27B4364A42229267CDA49EC4AC70D7523C4CA6021F97E

guess I shouldn't install it...

It's a .nsp. I'll try to analyze the archive, but it contained two other "info" files.
The SHA256 I posted is for the .XCI file. Any alternations made to the file is going to change the SHA256 meaning the SHA256 you calculated has to be different than mine so you cannot use my SHA256 to validate your file.

Anyone can clarify that the game is really running on a low resolution in handheld mode? I saw the video of RTG on Youtube, but really hope that is not the case...

Does anyone know if you can hide the red rhombus on the top of an enemy when you have them targeted? In the original game, they showed you targeted enemy with a red square over their body and it's annoying now since that rhombus is distracting and hides part of the enemy's body

ugh game looks horrid in handheld mode. Controls are really awkward as well. Targeting uses the shoulder buttons which makes it quite difficult to continually push.
